Kalimalang artificial river or stream is deliberately created to supply water to the taps ( local water company ) for the citizens of Jakarta and surrounding areas . Urban village or region that covers along the river is New Cawang - Cipinang Melayu - Pondok Bambu - Coconut Cottage - Lampiri - Sources Arta - Transito - Jakapermai - galaxy - Earth Satria Kencana , Metropolitan Mall Bekasi and continue until the area bekasi . This Kalimalang raw water source comes from Jatiluhur , Purwakarta and continue to explore its tributaries flow through Cikampek , Cibitung , Cikarang , Tambun and other small areas .
