On August 7, 1981 stood Computer Science Education
Program ( PPIK ) in Jakarta, which three years later became the School of
Information Management and Computer ( STMIK ) Gunadarma . Six
years later, on January 13, 1990 , stood Gunadarma School of Economics ( STIE
Gunadarma ) . In
1993 , STMIK and STIE opened with a Master of Information Systems Management
concentration to STMIK and Master of Management for STIE . Furthermore , through S.K. Director
General of Higher Education No.92/Kep/Dikti/1996 dated 3 April 1996 , STMIK and
STIE Gunadarma melt into GUNADARMA UNIVERSITY along with four new faculties ,
namely the Faculty of Industrial Technology , Faculty of Civil Engineering and
Planning , Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Letters . Opening
of the new millennium , the University Doctoral Program Gunadarma open economy
by Directorate General of Higher Education Department permission of the
Republic of Indonesia No. . 55/DIKTI/2000
followed by the opening of the Doctoral Program in Information Technology by
permission Director General of Higher Education Ministry of the Republic of
Indonesia No. . 3716/P/T/2002 .
After a long struggle in the face of various challenges ,
Gunadama University has been transformed into one of the private colleges based
information and communication technology in Indonesia. Experience
over 25 years accompanied by devotion and dedication of teachers ; foundation of commitment and leadership
; provision
of instructional facilities and public confidence , Gunadarma University
continues to produce graduates who can dedicate his useful and competence for
the sake of building a future of better nation . The
existence and development of the University Gunadarma until now a successful
application of the principle of university autonomy at the institutional level
. The
principle of autonomy is the bedrock of the organization of education at the
University Gunadarma to stay abreast of external developments , particularly
the policies , rules and regulations. In
addition , the relatively long trip also demonstrated proven leadership and
flexible in dealing with various changes and policies relating to the
management of the college . Leadership
and management system refers to a good university governance ( good university
governance ) has been determined.
Life inside and outside the campus a comfortable ,
peaceful , peaceful , and safe and complete support facilities and fun is one
of the considerations every person to enter the world of higher education . UG
always strive to continue to create a conducive academic atmosphere and
harmonious relationship with the environment . Conducive
academic atmosphere on the campus is based on the relationship between the
academic community that includes faculty , students , and graduates . The
relationship is not only related to the teaching and learning process in the
classroom alone , but include social relationships outside the classroom that
can support the creation of a conducive academic atmosphere . Interaction
with the community is also based on the positive interdependence , including
the interactions between students living around the campus with the surrounding
community . On
campus there is a classroom facility , liary , laboratories , seminar rooms ,
auditoriums , senate chamber , BPM , meeting rooms , lecture rooms ,
consultation rooms academic , economic enterprises , employees and office
pioneer , musalla and mosques , as well as sports areas .

VISION
In 2012 the University became the University Gunadarma based leading information and communication technology in Indonesia, whose contributions in the fields of education , research , and community service are recognized ( recognized companies ) , both at regional and international levels
MISSION
1. Organizing higher education based on information
technology and communication quality in order to enhance the nation's
competitiveness .
2. Creating an academic environment that supports the
implementation of international research activities and beneficial to the
welfare of mankind .
3. Organizing community service activities as a manifestation
of social responsibility equivalent institution ( university social
responsibility) .
4. Organizing cooperation with various institutions , both
at home and abroad.
5. Developing institutional organization in order to respond
to various changes occurring .
